Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December, 1991. James is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. The father of Manny James is Nigerian as is his mother, who is caucasian American. He graduated from Sanderson High School. In 2015, he earned the Bachelor of Economics degree at Wake Forest University. James first gained popularity when he was a Reality star in The Bachelorette. James was picked in the year 2020 as the bachelor of the year on The Bachelor season 25, making him the first African American male star. The series premiered later that year. James was a perfect fit for the role as his height is tall, handsome and well-rounded and has a good sense of humor. Rachael Krokconnell won the show because James decided to enter into an intimate relationship with her. Following year, 2021, he got a partner with the famous dancer Arnold in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold finished 12th.
